About 52 Films/52 Weeks: Betrayal

A beautiful young woman is terrorised by her brutally jealous husband. One day when he arrives at home, he accuses her of showing her fee to another man. To him, that is tantamount to adultery. She denies it, he beats her with a belt into submission. He then picks her up and cradles her telling her that it is not her fault for being beautiful, it is her face to blame. A henchman grabs her from behind and the husband splashes acid in her face, disfiguring the very beauty that he loved. She survives the attack and grows old wearing the scar as a reminder that she survived her ordeal.
